A little about me and then some about my style of shooting.
Who am I? I’m a photographer, an opinionated woman, a fierce friend, a loyal companion, a momma, a yogi, a documentary-junkie, a storyteller, a compassionate listener, a creative + social activist, a community organizer, a dog-lover, a wine-drinker, and an honorary Italian. I enjoy a good workout, I dabble in running, but never more than 3 miles at a time and I’m a slow reader but love my book club for the wine and company.
Now my style of shooting… In life AND in photography, my goal is to authentically, yet creatively, document the world around us. I aim to capture what is happening in front of the lens and then bring it to life. I thrive on existing at the edge and then pushing that edge to a new, refreshing level. I always strive to compose an image from an angle that may be considered unconventional compared to our everyday perspective. I cherish the art of storytelling and it’s profound impact on self and community, allowing us to communicate with both words and images while encouraging us to open, close, heal, transform, move, shift and remember.
My body of work has grown over the years through the value I place on my connections with people. There’s something in me that goes for the gusto with knowing who I photograph and capturing their essence. What is important to you is important to me.
Please feel free to email me with any questions, I’d be more than happy to converse with you on what you are looking for.
